"HOPE"
2020 has been a year we will not soon forget! For many it has been a time of concern and even fear, For others, it has brought serious economic uncertainty. Some have lost their lives to a deadly virus, while others have had to say farewell to friends and family members who did.
We have had to change so many things about how we "do" the simplest things in our every day lives.
And, of course, we have not been able to gather as the church, and enjoy a handshake, a hug and a word of encouragement with others face to face over a good strong cup of coffee.
Annie, of Broadway fame, said "the sun will come out tomorrow". Another songwriter exhorts: "Don't worry, be happy!" And still, a popular phrases tell us that behind every cloud is a silver lining - and when life gives us lemons - all we need to do is make lemonade.
These songs and sayings haven't quite cut it, have they?
Each evening, this week I want to reflect on what God says about "hope" in His word. These thoughts will be brief, but I am trusting that God may use them to encourage you to begin believing that we will move out of THIS season - and that when we do, in the season to come, opportunities to honor Him will again abound.
Come, discover hope again - beginning Monday, July 6 and for five nights - through the audio devotions that will appear below.
